the key(s) to my life
The Key to Your Life is Wisdom |
Anything good in your life comes from your vision and clarity. You're able to see above all the small things in life and wisely understand the big picture. Anything bad in your life comes from sinking to the level of those around you. Remember to lift people up, and refuse to participate in anything petty. |

What's My Expression Number?
| Your Expression Number is 11 |
You tend to be associated with idealistic concepts and spiritual issues. You have high potentials that are somewhat difficult to live up to. You have very strong intuition and you can be a bit psychic at times. Highly inspirational, you can lead merely by your own example. You have an inborn inner strength and awareness that helps you advise others. Although you have what it takes for a successful career, you belong outside the business world. Overly sensitive and temperamental, you tend to have a lot of nervous tension. You dream a lot, so much so that you may be more of a dreamer than a doer. Fantasy and reality tend to get intermingled for you, and that leads to impracticality. |

Of the school band and playing percussion
a long time ago , i was a member of the Marian Convent school band, and i played percussion. to be more exact, it was the triangle.
the memories are sweet - staying back after school, practising in our groups in the school hall, and marching on the school field to coordinate our moves, hanging with alison and janis who was with me on the triangle going 'ting' at the right time, messing with it so that it went 'tingtingting' like a crazed alarm clock. doing stunts that involved my legs and hands flying all over the place and watching my fellow band-mates practise when i got bored (the triangle was nice, but it wasn't er, super challenging. funny because i never had that much sense of rhythm)
we played 'long long ago' 'negaraku' and 'wawasan 2020' for sports day, and i was in Standard 4 at that time. marching in our red skirts and white shirts across the school field, i had never felt prouder.
sadly awhile after that, the drum major passed away from leukemia. and the teacher in charge transferred to another school. so our band was disbanded.
and even more sadly, when i went to secondary school in main convent, the 'padang' was hanky sized and there was NO school band at all.
by the time i got to Form 6 and there was a school band, it was a bit too late. having said that, i admired the skills and dedication of the Michaelian Military Band, and i thought they played beautifully at the concert i attended in the town hall 6 years ago.
if i had kids, or if i ever have kids, i'd encourage them to join the school band. it builds rapport, gives you confidence, exercise, exposure. and you get to learn a musical instrument, hehe. hard work of course. but best of all, you get to make all the noise you want while marching around. how's that for cool? :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You entered: petrina tan tjin yi
There are 16 letters in your name.
Those 16 letters total to 79
There are 6 vowels and 10 consonants in your name.
What your first name means:Greek Female Feminine form of Peter: Stone; rock.
Your number is: 7
The characteristics of #7 are: Analysis, understanding, knowledge, awareness, studious, meditating.
The expression or destiny for #7:
Thought, analysis, introspection, and seclusiveness are all characteristics of the expression number 7. The hallmark of the number 7 is a good mind, and especially good at searching out and finding the truth. You are so very capable of analyzing, judging and discriminating, that very little ever escapes your observation and deep understanding. You are the type of person that can really get involved in a search for wisdom or hidden truths, often becoming an authority on whatever it is your are focusing on. This can easily be of a technical or scientific nature, or it may be religious or occult, it matters very little, you pursue knowledge with the same sort of vigor. You can make a very fine teacher, or because of a natural inclination toward the spiritual, you may become deeply emerged in religious affairs or even psychic explorations. You tend to operate on a rather different wavelength, and many of your friends may not really know you very well. The positive aspects of the 7 expression are that you can be a true perfectionist in a very positive sense of the word. You are very logical, and usually employ a quite rational approach to most things you do. You can be so rational at times that you almost seem to lack emotion, and when you are faced with an emotional situation, you may have a bit of a problem coping with it. You have excellent capabilities to study and learn really deep and difficult subjects, and to search for hidden fundamentals. At full maturity you are likely to be a very peaceful and poised individual.
If there is an over supply of the number 7 in your makeup, the negative aspects of the number may be apparent. The chief negative of 7 relates to the limited degree of trust that you may have in people. A tendency to be highly introverted can make you a bit on the self-centered side, certainly very much self-contained . Because of this, you are not very adaptable, and you may tend to be overly critical and intolerant. You really like to work alone, at your own pace and in your own way. You neither show or understand emotions very well.
Your Soul Urge number is: 7
A Soul Urge number of 7 means:
With a number 7 Soul Urge you are very fond of reading, and retreating to periods of being alone and away from the disruptions of the outer world. You like to dream and develop you idealistic understandings, to study and analyze, to gain knowledge and wisdom. You may be too laid back and withdrawn to really succeed in the business world, and you will be much more comfortable in circumstances that are tolerant of your reserve, your analytical approach, and your desire to use your mind rather than your physical being.
You are very timid around people that you don't know very well, so much so at times that casual conversation and social situations can be strained. You tend to repress your emotions to the extend that some people have a good bit of difficult understanding you. You tend to be very selective with friends and you don't easily adapt to new environments or to new people very quickly.
The negative traits of the 7 include becoming too much the introvert and isolated from others.
Your Inner Dream number is: 9
An Inner Dream number of 9 means:
You dream of being creative, intellectual, and universal; the selfless humanitarian. You understand the needy and what to help them. You would love to be a person people count on for support and advice.

prize quote from last week - after all the tortuous negotiation in a meeting room, a man raises his hands, looks me in the eye and says
"AFTER YOU SEE ALL THIS, YOU STILL WANT TO BE A LAWYER AH?!"
...
it's the sort of thing that demands a smile. because you know, words fail me at the moment.
i can't believe how quickly time flies. i still have a lot to learn, and everyday i make new and sometimes quite horrible mistakes. well, nevermind, it's been quite a ride, and learning is part of living. only dead people stop learning. and i m very much alive, thank you.
on another note, i joined the gym. yes. i did. i m not joking - it's a pretty far cry from sedentary and lazy petrina.
so yeah, i better put it to good use. because i don't want to let work consume my life.
bbq nite last sat - thanks for making it rock! :) the pics will come by real soon. and thank you also for all the lovely pressies. hehehe, i have 3 pens now. and a watch. and homer's odyssey with Lat was Here - what strange bedfellows! and yes, my lovely spongebob squarepants doll .thank you ... :)

where to eat??!!
i don't know if you or your friends have ever faced this problem of deciding where to eat.
for what it's worth, this is the problem which has plagued my kawan-kawan and me every time we go out to lepak in a shopping mall.
someone will go "oh, it's time for lunch. where should we eat ar?"
fast food, 'expensive' food, chinese, indian, malay, western? japanese...? just kidding - you guys know i hate eating raw food!
followed by lots of walking around, trying to decide what and where to eat. sometimes it can get to ridiculous lengths of time. like a half hour to 45 minutes. all the while we are getting hungrier and hungrier. and the crowds are piling up in all the makan places.
which is why i have been designated 'Official Food/Meal Decider'. except where someone has a craving for a specific type of food, i decide where we all eat. and that's that.
the decision making process involves collecting and collating data from my friends such as e.g.
"you had kfc the other day? ok, scratch that!"
"right, you're allergic to beef."
"on a tight budget ka? i see. so that leaves out Restaurant ABC"
whereupon, after balancing all the factors, i will decide. ha, and my decisions/recommendations re eating and good food seldom go wrong. maybe almost never (perasannya...! :P)
it came to a point this that my absence resulted in the suggestion of "Let's call up Petrina and ask her where to eat" after a lingering in the valley of indecision. ahahah, too bad i wasn't around.
man, i like my job ...!
