i don't know if you or your friends have ever faced this problem of deciding where to eat.
for what it's worth, this is the problem which has plagued my kawan-kawan and me every time we go out to lepak in a shopping mall.
someone will go "oh, it's time for lunch. where should we eat ar?"
fast food, 'expensive' food, chinese, indian, malay, western? japanese...? just kidding - you guys know i hate eating raw food!
followed by lots of walking around, trying to decide what and where to eat. sometimes it can get to ridiculous lengths of time. like a half hour to 45 minutes. all the while we are getting hungrier and hungrier. and the crowds are piling up in all the makan places.
which is why i have been designated 'Official Food/Meal Decider'. except where someone has a craving for a specific type of food, i decide where we all eat. and that's that.
the decision making process involves collecting and collating data from my friends such as e.g.
"you had kfc the other day? ok, scratch that!"
"right, you're allergic to beef."
"on a tight budget ka? i see. so that leaves out Restaurant ABC"
whereupon, after balancing all the factors, i will decide. ha, and my decisions/recommendations re eating and good food seldom go wrong. maybe almost never (perasannya...! :P)
it came to a point this that my absence resulted in the suggestion of "Let's call up Petrina and ask her where to eat" after a lingering in the valley of indecision. ahahah, too bad i wasn't around.
man, i like my job ...!

It doesn't get as ridiculous as 30 - 45 minutes k. Only the length of time it takes to get to the Concourse from Kinokuniya.
For the record: The Person Who Made the Suggestion was the one who decided on the makan place the other day. That must be a first. Although The Person insists that it was a suggestion, not a decision.
that's when i m with u guys. with some other friends, it DID get to such lengths.
the Person should decide, and so he did. but then again, it may have been a mistake. because of how disgustingly the Person ate. :P
Cis. you'd find it more challenging here where there are no such varieties... *rueful about the food standards here compared to our own*
(groan at the impossible letters thrown up by the comment regulator; isn't it enough that they're random? do they have to render it indecipherably italic and disjointed here and there? okay, second one is better...)
=)
hahaha. have to put that up, if not, there will be lots of comment spam.
but really, in england, there are not that many places to pick. here, you are quite literally, spoilt for choice. and that's where my job comes in. no matter what, i will find some place and some food suitable for everyone. :)
hm,makes me wonder how come lah we can end up strolling around the curve. 1st floor and 2nd floor and ikano and back to the curve before deciding where to eat? ;p
haha..cheers
that's because you were fussy...!
hahahahahah. :P
but anyhow, in the end, we still jadi makan at a place where the food was pretty good, and the service fast, and best of all, prices reasonable. :)
