dominic villa genting

ah! back from Dominic Villa at Genting...such a beautiful and peaceful place... from the window and balcony, you could actually see Awana Genting and further up, the steady and bright lights of Genting Highlands. it truly lived up to its name of 'city in the clouds' as on most days, it seemed shrouded in mist and clouds. almost ethereal...

and the food...! such wonderful homecooked dishes uncle Sam (the caretaker) and his wife prepared for us...curry korma, stir fried veges and a delicately presented breakfast of baked beans on a lettuce leaf, potato wedges, fried egg and 2 grilled cocktail sausages on Saturday. not to mention the hills of bread with butter and jam.
you can have sweet dreams about food like this.

but on a more sober note, once again (this sounds repetitive yet how true it is) i've learned a lot. about myself, about CSSUM and our mission and vision... and how to get along with others. we may have fallen on hard times but we will rise again. and i've messed up so many times myself...yet, the God i know and love is one of second chances. and i have so many chances to keep living and learning. life has been good to me. thank you God! lepas ribut otak, saya punya kepala manyak sakit....oooh...i really wished i had panadol then.

i've also had the opportunity of meeting some very nice, funny and friendly people from CSS MMU, UKM and TARC. yes, i met a Tigger wannabe (Woohoohoohoo) and a bubbly burst of fun with a real talent for art. and a little shepherdess who claimed to have no lamb, among other people. hahaha. yeah, lots of lame jokes and crap there among all the serious things we did and discussed.

and Fr Chris is leaving for Japan for his retreat. sigh...we've come to rely on him so much that it's hard to imagine doing stuff without him. but we know he's always praying for all of us. anyway, God is with us, and whatever happens, happens according to his will.

the theme for CSSUM this year is Christ-centred Family through Unity. May His blessings enfold us, and may we always do His will. Amen.
