of losing and finding hope

for a long, long time, life seemed hopeless.
devoid of meaning, running on a treadmill, except that you can't keep up, you're fighting just to stay in one place, and you're getting nowhere fast.

for a long, long time...

and then when you do manage to find hope again, life takes on a new meaning and purpose. the days seem shorter and your mind and heart are opened up again.

Frankl was right - it is the meaninglessness (and hopelessness) which kills us, rather than anything else.
