election 2008 / the final month of chambering / to the people i love

election 2008 is here! this being a non-partisan blog, i have refrained from promoting the virtues and/or vices of any of the parties running this time.
all i m saying is that i hope all of you who are of age have registered and will do your duty wisely and responsibly.
as things go, read, think, pray and then act.
i admit i m tired of looking and listening to the propaganda being displayed all around me ... there's only so many repeats of how great the country is doing now that i can take.
(comparing us to myanmar? you gotta be kidding me. why not sudan? or maybe even iraq? they're a lot worse off, no?)
i'll be back in ipoh with my brother and the rest of the family to go and vote. even my 85 year old grandparents are voting - what excuse have you got?

one month more to the completion of my pupillage. enough with the formalities! i m thankful i passed my ethics exam, and now it's a matter of staying alive to file my papers for my long call. so many nitty-gritty things to settle!
in 2 minds about having my call moved in ipoh or in kl. if it's in ipoh, it will be more convenient for family to come and give me their support. if it's in kl, kawan-kawan can come as well as other colleagues (who can make it!) ... will think about it, and let all of you know. so if you can make it, do come. there's tea afterwards too (in other words, jamuan ringan per Malaysian style) ...

to the people i love, thank you for being who you are. i know that you're going through some tough times, but believe me, you'll make it.
i look up to you guys and i m glad for the friendship - the laughter, the tears, the stories, the support and care ...
so Ins and Eliz, we'll beat this together. hang in there!
God bless you and you're always in my prayers. Amen
