i have always associated Pertama Complex with one thing - creditors meetings! hahaha.
so i was really surprised when Tina brought me there on her camera hunting quest.
Pertama Complex was ok overall, but something really needs to be done about the horrendous layout and lack of parking ticket machines. no signs, so we got lost looking for the entrance and exit (which looked like those doors to substations marked 'BAHAYA / DANGER/ etc' or toilet doors. quite inconspicuous!)
then it was on to pudu plaza. the yong tau fu i ate at a shop nearby was simply marvellous! ;)
really loved the display at pudu plaza - it showed a model of shophouses in old pudu and the attention to detail was stunning. it was one of the moments i wish i had a camera on me to share this image with all of you. the wooden shutters, the crumbling posts, even the model benches on the verandahs ...
i think that it was quite funny to hear the guy in the camera shop converse with Tina - he spoke in Cantonese to her English. it was a real case of 'chicken and duck talk'. in any event, they understood each other so i guess that should count for something.
we adjourned to Ah Lian paradise aka Sg Wang Plaza shortly after. it was here that i established a few things:-
1. the salesgirls at the shops and places i normally go to remember me, even if i haven't been there for ages. it's nice to be remembered. :)
2. the layout is still confusing even after all this while. we got lost again! this time trying to look for the exit. but in the end we made it! all that walking was exhausting though.
3. anime posters are evil. especially when you can get them 4 for RM10. no, i only got one in the end. Heee....Bleach poster with Renji and Byakuya. two 'lengchais' to look at before i go to bed. :P
i think i built up quite an appetite for dinner since we walked round the whole of Petaling Street without finally deciding on where to eat. but all's well ends well, since we ended up eating in Sunway Damansara. :P
thus ends how i spent FT Day. i love public holidays. :)
