today was supposed to be a good day. on all points it was supposed to be. and yet...
it began with Yin Harn and i being short called at the Jalan Duta court complex - this marks one third of the journey we have made so far on our chambering. nothing much happened though, as if to live up to its name of short call - it lasted all in barely 10-15 minutes. then we went out, dismissed by the judge and had breakfast with our mover, Reena and Alan and Sandesh.
but over breakfast i saw something that made me pause for a bit. and then feel sick.
i saw that Nurin Jazlin was the dead girl in the gym bag. i felt my heart stir within me. grappling with that and the fact that a very good friend, Elizabeth, had been hospitalised ... i wondered at myself, my grip on reality beginning to loosen. and a haze descending.
the day passed by slowly. all too slowly. petrina7 is singing the blues. but there is hope tomorrow will be a better day.
if only by a little.
