in the final analysis ...

i was flipping through my contract textbook - Visu Sinnadurai's Law of Contract Vol 1 one fine day as i attempted to make head and tail of remedies - which incidentally is my first exam paper next Wed ... and i found a lovely poem a very wonderful and dear friend, Elizabeth gave me 3 years ago when i was feeling down. finding it back, as i re-read the words, i could not help but feel that they were true as the passage of time had revealed them to me...

i also realised that in spite of so many things happening, some awful people in my past and present ... i am loved. beyond understanding. and undeservedly. by so many people i have met and had the privilege of knowing. thank you.

sometimes it's not about the big, grand gestures...it's small things like this that i remember, cherish and hold in my heart as a precious memory...the kind that makes me feel profoundly glad that i am human and i am who i am. and that i have been blessed by such things in my life.

here it is, let the wisdom of the words seep into you...

Remember, people are unreasonable, illogical and self-centred. Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you'll win false friends and make true enemies. Try to succeed anyway.
Honesty and frankness will get you nowhere, they make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
People favour underdogs, but they follow the top dogs. Fight for some underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. I've seen that happen. Build anyway.
People really need help, but they will attack you if you try to help them. Try to help them anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and you'll get kicked in the mouth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
Because in the final analysis, it was never between you and them.
It was always between you and God.

-Mother Teresa- (incidentally, a person i admire immensely)

and God has a plan for all of us ... have a nice day ahead and God bless! all the best in exams and my prayers are always with you.
