at one of those interesting, absorbing conversations i sometimes find myself having...
do you really want your gravestone just to read : SHE WAS PICKED UP A LOT IN BARS?
it's kind of sad, don't you think to see your life summed up like that...
yes, it's sad. so the real test is: what (and honestly, one day, we will all have to die) would you like your gravestone to read?
what i know is i would most like to be remembered as a person who 'fought the good fight', and did not give up ... a person who lived, laughed and loved.
and a person who in her own small and well, sometimes not very effective way, brought a little love, sunshine and hope into other people's lives. someone real, who didn't just live for herself.
think about it, and try not to get too morbid about it. sometimes thinking about such things can give us some much needed perspective on life and what really matters. a handle as it were.

Yes, I remember the gravestone test. Really helps you get things into perspective.
At the moment, I just want mine to say my name and the dates of birth and death. I might even dispense with the gravestone entirely - it's not really environment-friendly.
you may change your mind in the future. but suffice to say, thinking about death can make us live better. :)
maybe a niche? or scattered ashes? only time will tell
