the message on the door...

it wasn't very big. it was quite small indeed.
it was a little faded, a little worn with time.
but there it was, pinned to Dr Rajes' office notice board, that pink purple piece of card with its sunrise and its message...so profound, so true.

No one fails who does their best for God

i often passed it, and wondered about the truth of the words. i smiled when i looked at it, it cheered me up, gave me new courage and spirit when i doubted myself, my abilities, the very existence of my life...from those words i derived not only comfort but conviction that there was meaning and purpose to life and its many twists and turns.

today it is on my room wall... Dr Rajes had given it to me...and i never forget those moments when i was most down...and how i was lifted up again. Glory to Him, for He always reaches out to us when we need Him most.

i end this post with one of the most beautiful and uplifting words from one of my heroes, Mahatma Gandhi...and i hope that it gives all of you hope and faith in a brighter tomorrow.

God is the toughest taskmaster i have known,
He tries you through and through,
when you find that your faith or your body is failing you,
and you are sinking,
He comes to your assistance.
He proves to you that you must not lose your faith...
I cannot recall a single instance when,
at the eleventh hour, he has forsaken me.

love always from me...

You mean Mahatma Gandhi? No, he's not Christian, but at one point, he seriously considered becoming a Christian...

still, it is a truly beautiful quotation...
