recharging the spirit's batteries...

so every now and then, you get burdened down with all the irritation, pain and hurts people inflict on you...and you have no place to let them go.

so life seems unfair, unworthy and meaningless...and a hardball comes swinging your way and knocks you in the chest, knocks you right out of breath. you fall down hard, your pride is wounded, and your heart is starting to bleed from all that you've gone through.

so it seems that even God doesn't give a damn. you could die and that's it. end of story.

so at the end of it all, that's what it is. some huge and ultimately pointless charade. a melodrama where you were the sucker who got killed at the end of Act 1...you didn't even make it to the happy ever after ending.

so that's what it seems.

but don't spend too long there.

it's only a place. it's only a phase. life keeps moving on. and should you feel burdened down, let some of it go. speak to someone, and cry if you need to. in fact, if you can, let all of it go. though God seems to be sending a busy signal, keep trying...and don't give up. He truly knows, even before we tell him of our problems and worries and doubts. remember that there are still people you can talk to, who truly want to spend time with you, and who love you as you are and not as you should be. remember also that darkness makes the monsters and demons much bigger than they really are.

recharge the spirit's batteries. in this battleground we find ourselves in, we need every bit of help we can get. i find that Mass helps and reflecting on His word is extremely comforting...so is talking and spending time with dearly beloved friends. the sacrament of the Eucharist is also a very beautiful place where i can meet and talk to my Lord and God.

but anyhow and with anything you've faced...you can always pull through.
you can make it. you will make it. because whether you are aware of it or not, there are people out there and in here who believe in you and love you deeply. who know and see and are aware.
