It's been a while since I last blogged...been trying like hell to change the settings and look of my blog, but not quite successful at it. Nevermind, in time, I'll probably get there.
:)
Uni life is starting again for me, and I will be going back to KL tomorrow to start work on the faculty orientation project. Have a strange but not altogether unpleasant feeling...just last year, I was a junior, feeling lost and bewildered. Now I have a chance to help and guide the juniors coming into the fac. Some will be proud, some will be approachable and some, I'm sure, will teach me a thing or two about life. Never did doubt that lessons in life and love can come from many different sources. I look forward to the coming weeks.
Sometimes I wonder if God is a sniper waiting in the bushes for me...then He opens my eyes to wonderful little surprises that make me gasp in amazement. They're not huge, phenomenal happenings like winning a million dollars in the lottery or scoring 4 flat in my exams...more like a kind word from the people around me, rainy weather as I snuggle up in bed with an exciting book, the crisp colours of nature in the morning sun...He is a God of small things. not to mention the coincidences that pepper my life. It's been said that coincidences are the act of catching the universe in the act of rhyming. I believe that.
The church bulletin last night spoke of the voice of God in our lives. Some of the most profound moments in my life did not happen in a church or in a prayer meeting or at Sunday School. I have heard Him in the words of an atheist (ironically!) and His affirmation of a broken self at the mamak stall. His are words that bear close attention and His is a never-ending chain of unconditional love and affirmation.
There is a story for each and every life, and that story is co-written by humanity and God. As much as we need God, He needs us too, because of the element called 'free will'.
