the Mamak Stall Messenger ...

Written in memory of 11 March 2004, for the Mamak Stall Messenger.

thank you, thank you for all you shared with me, and for the fact you touched my life in a way i cannot really explain. when you saw me then, i was broken, disheartened and discouraged and you lifted me up, encouraged me, educated me...and to think we were total strangers there and then...

i believe that God sends His messengers to speak to us, and they are the people around us...there is no doubt that you were one of His messengers.

whenever you feel that life is unkind, and you have not done anything good, remember then that once somewhere, you touched a young woman's heart when she was alone and unhappy at the mamak stall, looking only to go back to her room and have a good cry.

what can i say? i have never forgotten, and i have kept the faith. i have learned to consider other perspectives and other characters, learned to see the good in myself as i see in others, and to believe that there is a plan for all of us...and to never give up, especially on myself...there is hope, and part of its beauty is that it lives in every tomorrow given to us.

God bless!
