what a week it's been - late nights doing all manner of work and a missing pen/thumb/usb-drive which by the grace of St Anthony (patron saint of all those who constantly lose their things) i found back just before it could have been rolled over by cars on the road. :)
anyway, i capped it off with dinner at Marche Movenpicks' Ramadan buffet with Tina, great value for money - i can't remember how many prawns we had, they were really fresh. and the lamb, salmon, chicken, salad, pizza, mussels, mushrooms, rosti....errr. we covered everything there except for the beef cos i m allergic to beef.
but the desserts were a bit disappointing, they only had some malay kuih and choc ganache and blueberry squares. :( if there's anything i like it's great variety of super-tasting desserts.
ha. then we went to check out the clubs/bars. actually quite sad. or too loud for my liking. and there was one which Tina said looked like a place where a person who 'putus cinta' should go.
and of course, a visit to 'Heaven' - the hell for songs which often get murdered by tone-deaf singers with almost non-discernible diction. the last i went, the girl onstage killed 'close to you' by the Carpenters, i think Karen Carpenter is rolling about in her grave too... James Blunt isn't dead yet, but he's probably sneezing at that awful rendition of 'You're Beautiful'. Urgh.
ready to face the next week? you bet i am.
