adrenaline rush

adrenaline rushing through my veins...
the tingling in my spine,
blood pumping harder, faster,
i am excited.
my eyes are focused, hawklike.

my steps increase in speed...
i have goals to achieve, targets to meet,
and i will let nothing and nobody
stand in my way.

courage, honour and pride in work well done,
i know that all comes from Him
and to Him all glory goes,
service by my hands is an offering,
and He constantly strengthens me.

so i thank Him for these moments,
and for moments of repose
when in rest my eyes, they close,
and for moments of play,
and for moments of peace.
