Happy 2006 to all!

first off, Happy 2006 to all!

the new year celebrations over, back to work. but not without a quick recap of what happened...

i did my annual review of 2005 and concluded in spite of a number of unpleasant events, on the whole it was a good year with one of the highlights being my trip to London as a representative of South East Asia in the Commonwealth Law moot competition. did not bother to go into the gory details as i believe the past is dead to us, the future yet to be born and the present is all we have.

went to watch fireworks in ikano power centre/the curve with elizabeth, in nee, my sis and her husband and pauline. it was so beautiful that for the moment, i found my cycnicsm and skepticism suspended. we did also get sprayed on, goodness, the people went wild! i dodged my way around, but i did get a bit of it on my shirt and a Malay guy sprayed in nee and elizabeth right in the back so suddenly it took all of us by surprise. spray smells like soap and has a foamy feel. i did not buy a can, seeing it as a waste of money, in case you are wondering.the pictures turned out a bit odd...so i m keeping them with me.

we went back rather late, feet tired from all the walking and standing and a little head-bopping...then off to bed in spite of the movie marathon we had planned. a new year to remember all right...
