Half a day over at PWTC - 13th Msian Law Conference

Today had a surreal feel about it....i woke up feeling lazy, willed myself to go over to the faculty to look up for a few more details to complete my banking notes before 'doomsday' on monday. duly managed to do so...i swear banking is starting to come out of my ears at the rate i ve been looking at it...

i needed a breather.

and i had one, in the form of the 13th Malaysian Law Conference organised by the Bar Council over at PWTC which i attended today, on behalf of Pn Izura who had a migraine and asked me to go in her place. it was so sudden and surreal. yeah. all i did was pop up to her room to say hi and then she asked me if i wanted to go. it didn't take me long to decide i needed to get away from banking for a bit and do something totally different. so i went back and changed into something more suitable (ie my black and white) and Pn Izura dropped me off at PWTC. we had lunch together before the sessions started.

Dato' Gopal Sri Ram held forth on terrorism and the ISA in his usual fiery and dynamic way in contrast to Mr Malik Imtiaz's quiet but convincing piece on the above. i listened to one about IT and law before that by an Aussie lady...yeah, computers are leading the way. there were a good number of prize quotes i heard today, most of them from everyone's fave COA judge.

i met some people from the Conference Secretariat and some UIA students, a few lawyers, ex UM students and 1 UM masters in law student. the Conference Secretariat people and i took the lrt back to Masjid Jamek, it was quite fun talking to them and listening to their views on lawyers in general.

will be going tomorrow again, but only in the morning cos tomorrow is In's birthday and me, Elizabeth and Ins want to have a small pre-celebration of sorts. doesn't seem like im taking an exam...no?

back to banking....yeah baby! now i have the semangat flowing through me...go go go!
